My family first came to Family Life
Center in 1987, just the second week
after the church had moved out of a living room and into a rented building in
Lynnwood. I
started playing bass with the Worship Team in 1988, and was appointed as Worship
Coordinator in 1989. I also served on the church council during those early
years of Family
Life Center. I have earned 2 bachelor degrees
and a master’s degree in music education and currently teach middle school
choir.
I see my role as Worship Coordinator as being the
overall leader and facilitator of the Worship Team. Not only do I give our
worship leaders guidance and direction at times, but also any help they might
need to facilitate leading the congregation into worship. I take care of
practical needs like making sure everyone has music, scheduling and coordinating
communication. I take overall responsibility for the sound system. I also am
responsible for personnel issues. Over the years our understanding of worship
has grown, and we continually seek to grow closer to where the Lord would have
us be in worship.
